Effective date: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SnippingToolShortcuts.com (the “Site”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit the Site, submit a contact form, leave a comment, view embedded content, or otherwise interact with our services.
The Site is owned and operated by Syed Saud Ahsan, who is the data controller for personal information collected directly through the Site. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, subject, message, comment, website address, and any other information you voluntarily submit.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location, timestamps, interactions, and diagnostic or security information.
- Cookie and advertising information: cookie identifiers, ad impressions, consent choices, and information used to measure or personalize content and advertising, where permitted.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the contact form or comments.
How and why we use information
We use information to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- understand how visitors find and use our guides;
- respond to questions and other contact-form submissions;
- publish and moderate comments, prevent spam, and investigate abuse;
- measure content and advertising performance;
- display advertising and, where allowed, personalize ads;
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users, and systems.
Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we rely on consent when required, our legitimate interests in operating and improving an informational website, steps taken at your request when you contact us, and compliance with legal obligations.
Google Analytics and Google Search Console
We use Google Analytics, connected through Google Site Kit and Google tags, to understand traffic and Site usage. Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, session activity, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, IP-derived information, and cookie or similar identifiers. When required by law, analytics storage or cookies are used only after consent.
We also use Google Search Console to understand how the Site appears and performs in Google Search. Search Console provides aggregated information such as search queries, impressions, clicks, positions, devices, countries, and indexing issues. Search Console reports do not ordinarily identify individual Site visitors to us.
Google processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. You can learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy and review Google Analytics opt-out options.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. The Site and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, tags, and similar technologies for:
- Necessary functions: security, administration, preferences, consent choices, and reliable Site operation;
- Analytics: measuring visits, referrals, and interactions;
- Advertising: delivering, limiting, personalizing, and measuring ads where permitted;
- Comments and forms: remembering commenter details, preventing spam, and supporting form security;
- Embedded content: enabling videos and other third-party features.
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Where a consent tool is available, you can also use it to manage optional cookies. Blocking cookies may affect some Site features. Browser controls do not necessarily block every server-side or cookieless measurement method.
Advertising partners
The Site uses Google AdSense and related Google advertising services, including DoubleClick technologies. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads; detect invalid traffic and fraud; and create advertising reports. Depending on your location and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Third-party advertising providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser details, cookie or advertising identifiers, viewed pages, and ad interactions. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can manage Google ad preferences at My Ad Center and review industry opt-out choices at AboutAds.
Affiliate links
Some pages may contain clearly identified affiliate links to third-party products or services. If you follow an affiliate link and make a purchase or complete another qualifying action, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The third-party merchant or affiliate network may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute the referral and may collect information under its own privacy policy.
Not every external link is an affiliate link. Editorial opinions are not determined by whether a link may generate compensation.
Contact forms and email
Our Contact Form 7 form may collect your name, email address, subject, message, IP address, browser information, submission time, and anti-spam or security signals. We use this information to receive and answer your enquiry, maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep necessary records. Form information may be transmitted by email and processed by our website host, email provider, anti-spam provider, or other technical service providers.
Do not use the form to send passwords, payment-card details, identification numbers, or other sensitive information.
Comments
When you leave a comment, WordPress may collect the information shown in the comment form, your IP address, browser user-agent string, submission time, cookies used to remember commenter details, and information used for spam detection. Approved comments and the name you provide may be publicly visible. Your email address is not intended to be published.
Comments may be checked through automated spam-detection services. If you use a profile or avatar service, that service may receive a privacy-preserving hash or other information needed to display your avatar.
Embedded videos and third-party content
Some articles contain embedded YouTube videos or other third-party content. Embedded content may behave as though you visited the provider’s website directly. The provider may collect technical and usage information, place cookies, use similar technologies, and track your interaction with the content, especially if you are signed in to that provider.
YouTube is operated by Google. Its data practices are described in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can avoid loading an embedded video by not playing or interacting with it, although some technical requests may occur when the page loads.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of exchanging it directly for money. We may share or permit access to information with:
- website hosting, caching, security, analytics, advertising, email, form, anti-spam, and technical service providers;
- Google and advertising partners as described above;
- affiliate merchants or networks when you follow an affiliate link;
- professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce terms, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to valid legal process;
- a successor in connection with a sale, transfer, reorganization, or similar change involving the Site.
Some providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, such transfers rely on provider safeguards, contractual measures, adequacy decisions, consent, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:
- Contact enquiries: for the time needed to respond, manage follow-up, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal or record-keeping obligations.
- Comments: while the comment remains published and as needed for moderation, spam prevention, security, disputes, and legal compliance.
- Analytics and advertising information: according to our configured settings and the retention practices of the relevant provider.
- Security and technical logs: for a period appropriate to troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and Site administration.
Information may remain for a limited period in backups or where retention is required by law. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. However, no website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information at your own risk.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of your information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- request a portable copy of information you provided, where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of certain targeted or personalized advertising where applicable;
- complain to your local data-protection or privacy authority.
To exercise a right, email [email protected] and describe your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Rights are not absolute, and we may retain information where permitted or required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or record-keeping purposes. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

The Site links to websites, apps, and services we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not govern those third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing information or using their services.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Site, our providers, or applicable requirements. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site where appropriate.
